Builiding custom cage... any tips?

Hey, so I found a guy on craigslist who builds custom animal cages for a pretty affordable price, and I'm trying to work out all the details of how I want the cage built...

The biggest hurdle I'm coming across is drainage (obviously...)

I've read through different threads and haven't come across any clear answer as to what would work best. I was thinking of having him make it with a screen bottom, and feet on the bottom of the cage so that a pan could slide in and out from underneath.

Any other ideas, since pretty much anything goes?

Thats definitely a workable idea...but you may want to consider a tarp/plastic also. This way you can funnel/channel water to a bucket or wherever.
