Bugs in drained water

Good afternoon,

I emptied the drainage pan on my enclosure today, and noticed these tiny white bugs floating on top. They were actually crawling on top of the water. I will attach some pics, but they are so tiny it was hard to get a clear picture. They remind me of springtails. I used to keep dart frogs and I stocked my bio active enclosures with them. I have a standard screen bottom with a drainage pan, and I havnt introduced any micro fauna. I know these are naturally occurring, but curious if anyone has seen these kinds of bugs in their non-bio active enclosures, and if they could be something other than springtails. Thanks for your replies!

Springtails would be my guess too, but I know little about bugs. Have you checked your plants, including the undersides of leaves for pests? Are you seeing any soil gnats?

I don’t really see anything when I look under leaves or flip rocks in pots. I do occasionally see what looks like a fruit fly, but even that is occasional. Just because I was looking I took a pic of my buddie.

Spring tails. They are in the plants soil and love water. Especially if you did not repot your plants into totally new dirt.
