Bug Gel

Thinking about providing a longer lasting source of water for my bugs. This "Bug Gel" stuff is just a Polyacrylamide Copolymer isn't it? The stuff inside nappies (diapers) and such. So if was to charge it with some very dilute calcium chloride and RODI, the bugs could get a calcium load from drinking the water?

Its just water crystals they sell at the garden shop. a $10 1 pound bag would make like 20 gallons of crystals. You can add calcium to it. Just be aware that adding too much calcium to a feeders diet can be detrimental to the bugs health. If you cycle your feeders and give "the good stuff" to a small group of feeder 1-2 days ahead of time, you can do your calcium crystals idea.
