Bug Bomb?

Hey guys I got a bit of a problem here. At my girlfriends house(where I used to live) they have a really bad fruit fly problem. They are in the cricket bins, all around the house and nothing seems to get rid of them so she is planning on bug bombing the house. Well the problem with that is at her house we have 3 Bearded dragons, a crested gecko and 2 leopard geckos. What do we do? She is kinda lost on what to do with everyone.

Take the cricket bins outside and clean them really well with 50/50 water and vinegar. And then open the windows and throw some fans on for a couple of hours. Then when it is all done (that should take care of it) just monitor how long you leave food in the cricket bins. I made the mistake of leaving bug Burger in my cricket bin for a week because it was still moist and i ended up with an ass load of fruit flys myself

The problem is she just puts the fruit in and 10 minutes later there is a swarm of fruit flies...I normally would take care of the bins all maintenance but I don't live with her at the moment. She doesn't leave the orange I told her to put in very long (maybe two days if that?) so I guess I don't understand. Also she is in the basement which i think is half the problem.

Maybe its not fruit flys? Maybe its root rot and you have gnats and they are congregating to the bins? Are they in the cham cages? If not then I wouldn't worry about that

Then:

I highly recommend you do not use a bug-bomb in your house.

Just be diligent in not having any place for them to breed, and they should be gone in a few days...

Nope, no chameleons what so ever at her house. All at my place and I have no problem at all with any bugs.

Dude don't bug bomb. I had a terrible fruit fly problem, I just hung up a couple strings of fly tape. I had hundreds on there after the first few days and they were all gone in a week. As you know from fruit fly cultures, if you feed off the adults, the colony dies fairly quickly.
