Buffalo beetles with vermiculite substrate

I ordered some Buffalo beetles for our dubia bin and also want to keep them in the cricket bin. The Dubai bin has no substrate, only egg crates, but the cricket bin has two inches or so of vermiculite. Will the Buffalo beetles have problems climbing out of the vermiculite and if so, should I either change to another substrate or remove it all together?

They should be able to climb it just fine I'd think
