after a scare a few weeks ago, Buddy has recovered nicely. He was beginning to show symptoms of RI, wasn't eating much or drinking. I immediately started him on very small dosage of Reptaid XL, bumped temps with space heater, started using a warm mist humidifier to act as a breathing treatment for a few nights.Cleared up on its own....so I stopped with the reptaid for a few days. Symptoms start to show again(still eating and drinking this time). So I started the Reptaid AGAIN and again the mucous and popping in breathing went away. But I set an appointment for today anyways. Had his fecal tested for parasites, clear. Vet checked mouth, throat, eyes, and listened to breathing. He was great! She also checked out the ingredients on the Reptaid XL and looked at dosage. She said it looks great and I could continue giving it to him for 5 more days. She also recommended I bump humidity up to help him shed and not scratch at his eyes so much. He does a lot of blinking lately and she said a lot of times it isn't proper humidity when they begin doing this. Not able to clean eyes well enough. But she knew chameleons well and knows very much what she is doing. So glad I found her and that Buddy is in fantastic shape!! I am a happy Mamma!
