This morning, i noticed Mojo basking under his new light. When i went to mist down his cage, i saw him open his mouth and a bubble came out. It has happened a few times and i am not sure if it is abnormal or something. Maybe dehydration? He was basking right next to where he drip system feeds in and he knows how to get water from there but i sprayed his area of the cage down pretty well just incase. Any thoughts to what it is??

i hear absolutely nothing when he opens his mouth but he opens his mouth whenever i spray the cage with water. maybe im just pissing him off with the mists?

Bubble blowing and eye closing are 2 red flags for an upper repertory infection. You can try a product called Reptaid if he is ‘ok’ still and you don’t want to go to the vet, however usually the best thing is go to the vet and get some Baytril to knock the infection out.

his eye closing was from me having the wrong bulbs, way too bright :/ how much would a check cost about?

I can't imagine why your asking for help if everything that gets suggested your ignoring...... How do you know it was your bulbs? Just because you don't hear anything doesn't mean it isn't a RI... Bubbles is a HUGE sign of fluid and gaping is as well, along with closing eyes means they have hit the "bad" level.... A vet at this point should be imperative... You'll need to find an EXOTICS vet in your area as there have floated a few horror stories of vets misdiagnosing and wrongly prescribing drugs, but check around the health forum there shoud be a vet resources post... I hope your guy pulls through!

EDIT: Just saw your pot! Good thing :) They can get serious and the deal is that since they are prey animals they try to show signs of weakness VERY late in the game so when it becomes obviously noticeable it could mean the condition has deteriorated substantially... Hope everything goes good at the vet!

not trying to ignore any adive :( just not very good with a sick cham. ill try to find an exotic vet near by. thanks for the help every one!
