When trying to slowegg production, i keep the thermostat on 77°f. I use a 25w basking bulb with a twin t5 ho hood. Inside the cage is about 80-82°f. Basking spot at 85°f. Offer smaller food totals every other day, keep super hydrated. Don't let her get too thin or too fat. Just healthy looking. Most seem to agree 6 clutches, fertile or infertile, will cause a definite decline in health. I retire my females after 4 clutches. I have seen a healthy female before a clutch, and then a month after laying the clutch, she looked in bad shape. You really need to decide between a pet or breeder. It is difficult to have both. Be prepared for vet visits. MBD can come on quick. Try to get her outside every chance you have. Good luck.
