broken claw

today i noticed my cham has a broken claw. it is almost all the way broken off. there is a little dried blood around the base of the claw. i stealthfuly put some polysporin on it. will it be allright or does he need to go to the vet? it doesn't look infected and he still grabs vines with that foot but i don't want to take any chance.

Please post a picture - what you are describing is sounding like part of his actual claw is missing? Or maybe just a nail?

I must admit, I too don't think the situation is very clear... I hope it is just a nail that is almost off.

just the nail, sorry. it looks like it has been bent backwards. he doesnt seem to be in any pain, i put some more polysporin on it and he seamed to like it. i will be keeping an eye on him till it heals.

i have been tring to get a pic but he is camera shy. the nail is broken off at the base. it looked like it had been bent backwards. it just dangles by the remaining piece of nail now. i put some more polysporin on it this morning and it was still hanging on, should i remove the broken nail piece? i don't want to stress him out tring to get a pic, but i can set up the camera on a tripod and try to catch him when is not in the leaves.
