Breeding Colors

Hi, I bred 2 Nosy Bes on May 23rd. I know they bred at least 2x, nor sure about a 3rd time. My female, Siren's Song hasn't changed her normal bluish color. Does that mean she is not gravid, or is it too soon? Thanks.

My female ambilobe never changed her color. 21 days after mating she laid 26 eggs. I tried putting my male near her the day after they mated and she wouldn't let him near her. Her reaction will be almost immediately after mating if it was successful.

Some of my females will change a lot and others not so much. As stated above if you show the male again and she reacts with hostility and darks colours it's a pretty good indication that she has become gravid

Some females may not show gravid colors like a female veil will or others. However, showing or introducing a male will most likely induce a color change. I do recommend this though. It will incur unwanted stress. Just watch her little belly. It will swell out pretty wide if she is indeed preggers. Some people weigh their females before and afterwards, however i do not for the stress reasons. For that matter, i absolutely do not hold any of my females. Pregnant or not pregnant.
