Be patient and try hand feeding over a long period of time.

My chameleon shoots my fingers when he sees them ever since I started hand feeding him regularly so now I regulate between her "hunting" and my hand feeding.

Yes I am hoping he gets friendlier!

I also like to leave my cage door open because somebody told me it will help since chameleons get scarred when you open the door.I leave a tree near the opening so if she decides to wander off she will most likely just go to the tree.
