So, I'm having a hard time figuring out if this is a real nub on the back leg or my eyes playing tricks on me, thoughts? I read that you can sex them like this early on, Kiwi is still pretty tiny...hopefully the pics are alright. Thanks!

Awesome, I was thinking it was a girl and started getting worried about the egg laying stuff. The only difference between boys and girls.. are the egg laying, being more territorial, and the size and colors, right?

Nah, usually males are more territorial from what I've heard.

Egg laying, slightly different patterns, and (usually) shorter lives = females
