. I know it's nearly impossible to judge age but are they both girls like I was told? They are in the same enclosure, they have shown no aggressive behavior at all and they eat like little green horses but if they will grow up and hate each other I'd rather separate them sooner than later!

Pic 1 and 3 is a male for sure. They need to be separated. Even if they were both female, they would need to be separated. But you definitely have a male.

Petco shouldn't be allowed to sell chameleons at all, they said that they separate them by sex! I'm new to them, but I raised iguanas my whole life and I couldn't leave those 2 little guys in a 1 gallon glass enclosure like they were, I just couldn't do it! I'll get little foot his own space first thing tomorrow.

Like the other posters stated, they can not stay in the same cage. Even if you don't recognize the signs, both animals will be stressed, One will be dominant, and get the better basking spots and food. The more dominant one, will constantly feel the need to defend their territory. The other will have no where to get away from the other. Constant stress will lead to one or both of them dying.
I wouldn't trust any other advice the pet store gave you. Read the care sheets on this site. It will help you to avoid some common mistakes, and be able to provide the right care for your animals.

Thats exactly what Petco want ,they give u bunch lollipops so u can keep on sucking on it ,I would like to know how many chameleons do their corporate family keep in their own house ??did they all keep them in the 1gallon tank too, seems like the only trends on all the Petco chams, whats their next move.....crickets in the cups....I forgot they already doing that....they are the space friendly social place where cuteness come from a square public view:rolleyes:

The young one is definitely a male. He is a cutie! Can't tell about the older one, but unless you see that tarsal spur on it's heel, it's a girl. We had the staff at Petsmart tell us the one they had in the store was a female...we were like "ohhh are you sure??" They weren't sure of anything. It's a shame they aren't educated about the animals they sell. Best of luck with your chams!:)

I've fallen so in love with my scaley little friends! They are so fun to watch. This is a better picture of big foot, she's sleeping though. Their lights are set to turn off at 9pm and they take that bedtime seriously! I'm sure big foot is a girl, though. They eat like crazy but they both have ribs showing, is that normal? They have gut loaded crickets and super worms in a cup on the floor all the time and I see them eating the crickets but they're not interested in the worms at all.
