Woaah lol what is it exactly?
I know what silkworms are.. But what are they in lol looks interesting... :)

that is a "silkworm pod". you can order them with the pre-made chow like this, live with mulberry leaves for shipping or just the eggs. I've ordered my horns like this before. Pretty convenient if you're doing small orders. Had to make sure that Chazam would gobble them down! :D

Anyone knows if those are buyallble in holland??
If been to the reptile show in houten.last sunday
and i.dindt even.seen.them... also wanna try these becausr
my veiled inst realy intressed in dola's if im correct
that are the fat worms haha.. already thx!!

You can get em from smallpetfeeders.com thats where mine and my hornworms are comin from.

Cool thanks I just bought some from coastal silkworms, So i should dust them with repashy calcium? Because i know you dont need to dust hornworms

That would depend.

If your feeding just one here and there, as a treat, then no.

If your using them as a staple, in my severely inexperienced opinion, yes.

You want feeders to have a Cal:phos ratio of 2:1 respectively.

Thats why we dust crickets and dubia and such, because they are supposedly closer to the opposite, more like 1:2.

No.

You should not feed hornworms as a staple, just a treat. ;)

They are for treats, extra hydration, and helping with hunger-strikes and such. :)

Its my understanding that the people who know what they are talking about, are of the opinion that silkworms can make up 1/3 or so of their diet. If I was to feed that many of them, I would dust them. Again, Im not the expert. Thats just what the information I have would suggest. ;)

I respect this opinion. Thanks for the input!

All my lizards love silkworms too, they get them often enough to need Calcium dust :)
