There was a thread here where someone broke down the cost of breeding. It was not a cheap investment, nor was it something that seemed haphazardly planned.
Not to assume, but if you are young, this could be a big responsibility to be undertaking, especially if you're parents are suddenly surprised with a clutch of eggs and dozens of mouths to suddenly feed as well.

If someone could find the link it would be awesome.
 
I think you should understand that she doesn't want to be bred. Chameleons don't want to have anything to do with each other, and the last thing she wants is for some big male to be in her cage. It sounds like she's had a hard beginning to her life, she doesn't need any more stress.
