Just a random pic that i took of the flies i recieved yesterday, enjoy:)

I just throw them in, but my veiled has a cage with wide screen so i grab them by the wing and he eats them out of my hand, but most of them cant fly...or only glide.

same here, do they cant fly? I might get some then. :)

o gosh.. they definitely can fly.
hence, we name them BB fly :D
The one that you say glide is the fly that just get out of the pupae.
They need time to straighten their wings and once they get enough heat in their bodies.. off they go! They are imo a bit clumsier and slower compared with the normal house flies.

some of my flies hatched out with crumbled wings and cant fly...others straiten out their wings and fly...what does everyone feed theres. I feed mine honey and rotten ripe banana

All flies hatched with crumpled wings. they need a stick or some kind of climbing surface and good amount of heat to straighten the wings.

Here is a video (not exactly talking about the topic we listed here.. but there is a clip where the BB flies hatched out) where you can see the wings are crumpled.

Check the video anyway.. it's very interesting.

i know that, when i was younger i was a bug fanatic, but i mean their wings arent straightened, they were deformed from not being able to dry
