Black tufts on young veiled

New chameleon owner - have a veiled chameleon under 1 year. He eats well, lives in temps between 75-87 degrees. Active and seems healthy.
Concern - he gets black scab like looking tufts sometimes. If I blow gently on them they fall right off. Can't seem to find literature on what this could be. No issues with swelling or any other types of infections. Shed his skin about 3 weeks ago. Anyone know what these black things are?

figured it out

LOL. The black tufts I was seeing on my veiled are nothing to worry about. I realized the wall in the back of his terrarium is scratched up in one place. He likes to sit there and scratch at it. The result is the wall is shedding and sticking to him. Had to laugh when I figured it out. Glad it's not serious. Thanks guys!

I would remove that wall then.

If he ingests whatever it is, it could make him sick.
