Black Spots On Branches. Are These Safe?

I am finishing building the cage for my little guy and as I got ready to put his branches in his home I noticed these dark spots. Does anyone know what this is and if these are safe to put in my chameleon's cage?

I can't tell from that picture, does it wipe off? Maybe give them a rinse, but either way it doesn't matter, they'll be fine. You should see the branches in my cham's enclosure, fungus growing out of some of them, lichen, moss, everything lol.

Most likely a mold or fungus. If you or anyone in your household is allergic (like myself & Missus), you may want to remove it or disinfect.
