I was thinking that I’ve had her for exactly a week now and since that week I put her to sleep at 6 pm and wake her up at 6 am since I have school and have no other choice but this weekend I had to change the time up a little bit so yesterday (Friday) I put her to sleep at 6:30 PM and woke her up at around 8:45 AM and put her to sleep today at 9:20 PM because I’ve had things to do such as being places do you think the time changes could affect those black spots? Also before I put her to sleep today at 9:20 PM i opened her cage up to mist it down before I put the lights out, a few black spots started to go away when I opened her enclosure, but I’ve just never seen it before so I’d like to know what’s going on.Could be stress related. @Beman what dk you think?
Could you link it to me?You can buy plug timers/smart plugs to keep the lights on a schedule. I use smart plugs rather than timers because then I can control them from my phone too if I ever needed to.
I have 24 hour timers in all my lights. They are like 8 bucks at Walmart and are a game changer.
Not sure if that’s what it is. Do you want to send pictures of your full set up and we can check it out and see if there might be anything else that could be bothering your cham?
https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/chameleon-color-question.189575/ this is what you said when I asked about the colors before, and I have the linear uvb t5 5.0 light but it came with no like reflector attachment thing so that’ll be coming in tomorrowThe spots could be stress. but I would be more concerned about her muddied color. That is not a normal healthy color they display.
I 100% advice having your lights on timers. It is very stressful for them not having a normal schedule. If you have to be in the room at night when the lights on the cage are off then you want to avoid using any overhead lighting.
If you have not done a husbandry review I would do so. Something is really off for the cham to display browns like that.

I think Govee does some for the US and I'm sure you could have a quick search on amazon to see other brands too![]()
Yes for some reason she likes being handled a lot everytime i come home and she sees my she starts coming up to the front of the cage waiting for me to open it then she starts changing her color, and also when she’s sleepingI would recommend a husbandry review. Just so we can go over every detail along with the enclosure. Has she ever shown green since you got her or is it always the muddied tan color?
So what you are describing can mean that she is not happy in her enclosure. Let me know if you want me to post the husbandry review info for you to fill out.Yes for some reason she likes being handled a lot everytime i come home and she sees my she starts coming up to the front of the cage waiting for me to open it then she starts changing her color, and also when she’s sleeping
