Black spot on head

My female veiled (about 5 months old) has had a little black spot or scale near her eye and I've tried wiping it off with a damp cotton swab, waited about a week to see if it would clear up and it hasn't yet. I just noticed this about a week ago, and other than the weird little spot she seems to be completely fine. I tried to upload a picture to go along with this but I'm not a hundred percent sure if it worked. If anyone has any ideas as to what this may be, help me out. Please and thanks!!

My Jackson's has one like this, and as far as I can see, it's not hurting him.

I'm not sure what that is but a better close up picture would be helpful. We do have a few vets here and hopefully one of them will give you their opinion on what to do.
