Black Soldier Fly escape

I was just trying to feed my chameleon a black soldier fly and it flew out of the enclosure and is now loose in my room and I cannot find it. Will it just go and die somewhere or will it cause harm in my house somehow?

Nope it will probably die sooner or later. They are completely harmless.

Once they land they don't fly much. Sooner or later you will see him high on a wall and then you will get to hunt him for your cham!

I thought this was just my stupid fly, I let one in Poseidons cage and it stood on a plant so he didn't even see it.

They tend to fly to the window and die there eventually. That is, unless you have rotting piles of compost in your room and you let 2 of them escape, then nature will take it's course.

Thanks everyone! I ended up finding it two days later camped out on the window. He was fed to my chameleon seconds later lol.
