Black markings on my Butterworms?

Has anybody experienced some of their Butterworms having little black spots, rarely more than one of em. Is this some sort of mite?

I THINK that means they are dead.

They still move and eat...so? Nobodys had this before?

I just bought some butterworms but they have all these black spots on them that look like scabs almost.
