So here's another thread for bizzare or strange rescues and finds when it comes to lizards. We all know how slippery they can be if they want to be. So please share some hilarious escape/near eascape/recovery stories
Like in EWW Factor, I'll start with my most recent one.
Okay, so I'm working happily, showing a potential customer our beautiful Columbian Boa, after finishing I put her back but can not find the key! So I lift up the panel on the floor and find it under there, then replace it not seeing anything. A kid standing next to me says that there was a lizard under there! And I confess I was doubtful but I wasn't going to not look just in case there was one. (They have been known to escape). Well, Loe and behold stuck to a cricket catcher mat was the Gold Skink that had escaped two weeks ago!!! I confess I couldn't stop laughing, don't ask me why, I guess it was because it was just so strange that such a fast moving, impossible to catch critter was caught with a cricket catcher. But I did my duty right away, figuring out what to use I got baby oil and gently peeled him off of the pad. I gave him a warm shower/bath in the sink to get rid of the oil and any remaining glue then put him in a small container with food and water. Poor thing was all tuckered out and we didn't have anything set up for him to stay in. I had to improvise, besides, he had dropped his tail and everything. I wanted to be sure he was okay. And as far as I know he is doing just fine
So yea, that's one of my stories, now its your turn
