Bit worried?

Hi finally got my first Cham yesterday.. I picked him because he came straight upto the glass in the petshop and as soon as the door was open he was straight up my arm.. However now I have him back and in his new home I only have to look at him and he's off hiding in the plant leaves.. Lol.. Anyhow in the shop he was a beautiful green colour but since putting him in his new viv he has remained a dark grey colour is this normal? All temps and humidity are fine:

There he is now hiding behind the thermostat because he can see I'm trying to take a picture.. He looks like a twig?? Might call him twiggy.. Am so worried though.. Is it normal?

First, when you take a cham home it can take them a few days to settle in. Second he may have wanted to get away from the other chams. I hope we can get some folks from your part of the world dropping in on the thread. Most keepers in the US use screen cages, so we are not able to answer questions about caging, but the people over there can tell you as they do it very well.

No need to worry if all the temps are up to par. He needs just adjust to his new cage. Everything should be fine. Nice looking Cham by the way.

Thanks guys.. guess i'm just panicing, he has been quite adventurous in his new home and has explored almost everywhere now, although he scares me when he walks upside down on the mesh roof.. lol keep thinking he is going to fall off and hurt himself! He seems really shy now too.

hope he goes green soon :)

Hmm I don't see your cham in the pic??

And based on your name, and the fact that he's skinny (and maybe a bit sly?), you should call him Fox! :)

Yes hes just hiding and making sure the new area is safe. He will get comfy within a week. What kind is it? Looks like a panther, but most of him is behind that vine :p

Lol you don't see him... If you look at my White temp gauge next to that you will see a black thermostat coming through the roof.. That is him clinging on for dear life as he knows I'm taking his picture lol you see his two little feet clinging on? Lol

Thanks for the guide also

A month old!? Is it common for people to sell yemens so young? That seems odd. My bet is that hes about three months, did they tell you month old?
