Bird cage

If I have an extra bird cage. Would that be okay to use outside? It's not like a parakeet cage. The cage is about 3 ft tall and 2 feet wide. The bars are 1/2" apart.

What size cham are we talking about? It it's an adult with a head broader than 1/2" that would be fine for a temp outdoor basking cage. Just offer shade and a shelter from drafts. I wouldn't go off and leave the cham unattended just in case a cat or something is attracted to it and might tip the cage over.

Yeah, he's definitely bigger than the width of the cage bars. Basically following the same rule for birds. He'd be out there when I'm cleaning the yard and what not. Never unattended..we have hawks in our area ;)

I used bird cages as my normal day to day enclosures for awhile. They are excellent (if you arent worried about heat or humidty or cricket retention). The hawk or cat cant get in, the cham cant get out (be sure of that), the sunlight can get in, the fresh air too,....
