Hey all,

How often do you guys clean out your drip systems?

Mine began stinking like fishy badness...lol... it's gross!

actually after I owned a misting system, I no longer use dripper.
I automate it to mist 4 times/ day for 5 minute length.
So far, no dehydrated chameleons.

I lightly clean the drippers weekly. It only takes about 3 minutes per dripper. Every now and then I put them in the dishwasher or in a boiling vinegar water solution.

I agree once a week is plenty.
I have never had an issue with mine getting bad ... all the water runs through in one day.

I'd say if your drip system is stinking like fish, something is wrong there....
I mean you are just putting water in it right?
My water goes through the drip over the course of the day and dries out all night.

anyways which leads me back to the question I'd ask myself if I were in your shoes:
"What's causing it to stink?"

mine is on a very SLOW drip, lasting a month, but fast enough for mycham to notice. i clean when it empties.

I wouldn't recommend the water in a dripper being left in there any longer than a day. Old water goes stagnant. Like the others on this thread, I fill my Little Dripper up once a day and my one empties itself in an hour. My chameleon drinks immediately if he needs to as I spray the vivarium first to trigger a drinking response.
