2X2X4' cages from LLL. The plant is a hibiscus which my veiled seems to like to eat......Only thing I may change is the size of that pot...its huge ! there is a fluorescent UV light up there but you cant see it. I plan on adding a mist system next week.

Heres Doku I didnt get a pic of me putting him in there since hes so grouchy.

Make sure that they don't see each other. You have to move 1 cage or put something between them.

The veiled chameleon looks a little bit on the dry site:).
Maybe you can give him some water with a pipet or something.

The enclosures are looking great!
Maybe you can put some more branches in to it, so the chameleon have more climbing options.
And I prefer more green in the cages, but thats my oppinion.

Kind regards,
Tom

Thanks for the ideas guys. I need to repot that plant into a smaller one to fill it up some more...im serious that pot is huge !!

Ill be adding a black garbage bag between the cages soon.....something I hadnt overlooked just hadnt gotten around to it yet.

As far as the veiled looking dry im 100% sure he good on water his poo has been looking fine lately...im thinking hes getting ready for a shed its been about 5 weeks.

Ooh, I like those cages! I know I need to be thinking about getting Joyce something different from the converted ferret cage soon (she is fine, but it is a GIANT pain for me to clean or move anything, and the velcro door I made in the screen cover is not holding up well in the misting). I'll check out LLL, I've purchased various things from them before. Is the misting system one your purchased or did you do it yourself? I've got to set up one of those as well, as I am not home enough to mist as often as needed, and the drip system is not enough, IMHO.

Both of your chams are beautiful! As far as the plants go, I agree more green. I used to keep bonsai's. If you repot your hibiscus, you can cut the roots back some(they have alot) so that you can put it in a smaller pot. Don't cut off too much though, they will go into shock. The cages look great also.

Im not too good at keeping plants really. When I bought that plant the lady told me to put it in that size pot...which takes up waaay too much room inside the cage.

So more less I can cut the roots back to put it in a smaller pot? then I could add a few more potted plants in there...im thinking 2 smaller Scheffleras to give some more climbing areas.

...btw I love this forum and im sure my chams do too ! you people rock !

Yes, don't cut any of the thicker roots, they are the lifeline. One of the secrets of bonsais is the trimming of the roots, hence they stay smaller. Hisbiscus have a lot of roots and they are a great source of greens for your veiled. Mine even likes to munch on the flowers. Why should I care, it's her plant. Good luck!
