best way to clean sticks?

hey everyone! i'm going to be "sanatizing" my sticks for my viv. i was wondering what method you all like best? i heard the bleach & water, but also boiling. i'm sure there are way more ways, but which have you found works best for you, and how would you go about doing that? thanks!

If I get a good stick from outside that looks clean I usually just give it a quick spray off under the shower to get rid of any lose dirt and then use it straight away.

Most other ways are
- boiling
- in the oven
- water bleach solution (10:1)

But how am I gonna fit a large branch in the oven or in a pan?
I'm no fan of bleach either, I try to keep chemicals as far away from my chams as possible.

If you use a bleach solution let it soak for a while, 20 min., then rinse, rinse, rinse and repeat until you can't smell any bleach. Let it dry in the sun if possible. Sand down any points, rough spots or loose bark.
