I know there have been threads before about different set ups, but I just wanted to see what you experienced breeders have found work best for you when housing neonates.
I have seen people use butterfly enclosures or plastic tubs...what works best for you?
Here is what I have used:
I recently got 4 neonate ambilobes from a good friend here on the forum.
To house them I started w/ a 10gal hexagon acrylic tank within the tank I taped a bed of plastic plants(Petsmart) to one wall of the tank. Within the tank I Placed as tall clear deli cup with a stick in it (stick does not go all the way to the top, about 1 inch below) Across the deli cvup I taped another dowel to act as a bridge. I then placed all my 1/4 inch crickets in the deli cup.
The crickets will crawl up the stick not be able to get out and my neonates stand on the dowel bridge and go to town so to speak when they want to eat.
I have since moved them up to a bigger enviornment. When I want them to get natural sun I place them in a mesh hamper which I purchased from a local flea market for $1.00 apiece place them in there and put them on m window ledge for sunshine. To close the top I placed a white plastic garbage bag over the top and attached it to the hamper w/clothes pins.
