Hey guys, just a quick question here. I want to
know a good website where I can buy a variety of feeders for a good price and a low shipping fee. Also, what are some of the best feeders that I can give to my chameleon? Right now indeed him crickets, super worms, and roaches, so I want to increase the variety. All help is appreciated. Thanks!

Where are you located? It would help if you put that in the top right corner!

If you are West Coast USA, Mulberry Farms has a good variety of feeders, as does LLL Reptile. Mulberry has silks, LLL doesn't, but Mulberry is out a lot, so Coastal silkworms is your best bet, or The Silkworm Store.
They both ship to mid and East coast, with a little more costs.

I just went and look up silkworms (I'm a newer cham owner, and have never used these). Holy crap are they pricey!

That's what I'm saying. I'm trying to find an all around good feeder supplier so I can get a ton of different insects shipped over here (I live on the west coast) I'm trying to find low prices and shipping costs, but that seems to be hard to find...

Does mulberry farms have huge shipping costs?

My last 3 orders, which have been a mix or hornworms, supers and some butterworms have been shipping costs of $11.75, $14.75 & $14.75. I live in Renton, WA (near Seattle) and get them shipped priority mail. I don't consider that outrageous and if you are on the west coast they will probably be similar. I get great product in excellent condition from them.

I agree with Ninkylou, Mulberry Farms has the most variety, and low shipping.
If they sell you silks under 1 inch, i would pass, pretty high die rate when they are smaller.

The reason that most of the shipping costs are the way they are is because they are shipping live insects to you and in order to guarantee live arrival you have to pay for priority shipping. Unfortunately most do not give you the option to go for cheaper shipping and take your chances. However, most online suppliers are selling top quality insects and by paying for a little higher shipping it costs less because there is less of a die off than if you get your bugs cheaper. If you think about it cheaper production usually produces a substandard product. I get my crickets from Ghann's and have very little die off. Mulberry Farms has nice hornworms, the best of all I think. Silkworms and hornworms are not that hard to raise so you may consider that to decrease cost. Roaches are super easy to raise and there are a lot of sources online and here in the classifieds. Rainbow Mealworms sells phoenix worms on ebay 100 for $7.98 which includes shipping. I got butterworms from someone on ebay too. The first batch they sent had a lot of dead ones and they replaced it no questions and that batch lasted almost 3 months in the fridge.

Like Ridgebax suggested raising your own is going to be the cheapest route. Even then there are still costs associated. Silkworm and hornworm chow will always be a cost. The common feeder insects are very easy to raise and you will have a endless supply once you get established.
