Besides dusting...

So, I have a very picky boy when it comes to eating. I try to vary his feeders as much as I can, but he generally ignores them and I waste a lot of money o_O. I will always try again, and today I was very successful with silkies. Zaphod ate about 8 right from my hand with out thinking twice. His usual staple feeders are Superworms and Crickets, and I will dust with his supplements and put them in his bowl, but he will take forever to eat them even if I wait a few days before feeding. I'm concerned that by the time he actually eats that all the calcium or multivitamin will have shaken off. Are there any specific gutload items that you use to increase calcium in your feeders? I do sprinkle some on his greens and carrots that he will eat from the bowl, but I don't think this is the best method.

Does Zaphod get allot of natural UVB? If so I wouldn't worry about it. If he's mainly inside I would buy some liquid calcium and give him a drop every now and then when he's not eating. It taste sweet and my girls always liked it. One of my vets will sale it to you if you need some I can put you in touch with him.

I think that's a great idea. I don't get him out enough to say he doesn't need supplements. I'll see if my vet has some for him and if not, I'll let you know. Thanks Jann!

I could use that because my Jax wouldn't see the dusted crickets when I'm putting them in his white feeder cup
