Bent Casque

I'm at work and don't have one. Just noticed it yesterday. Getting a picture of it would be hard being as he hates us but I will try when I get home. But does anyone have any idea WHAT could cause it?

It is not flimbsy at all. Very strong still....it almost looks like it's just becoming a little deformed.

His color is absolutely gorgeous, he seems to be very strong, he moves around a lot in his cage, he seems absolutely fine other than the fact that he hates us :D

From reading other's posts on MBD......I don't see any signs of it, whatsoever. Everything looks normal and healthy except the casque.

I know without a picture it would be hard to give me any kind of "diagnosis"... I just wondered if anyone knew what could cause the casque to bend other than a calcium deficiency...

My imagination is running wild. When you say bend I get a picture in my head of a bent over casque. Its really hard to make any guesses.

Would you describe the bend as best you can? Is it a slight bend

Without a picture its hard to really see whats going on.

It would apear you do not want to go down this path but I have to ask. What is your suplementation schedule?

Because you are trying to be so helpful....I'm going to go into Paint and draw what it looks like for you, LOL. We dust his crickets with reptical each feeding and use D3 twice a month. His crickets are gutloaded with orange slices, carrots, limes, lemons..etc and whatever petsmart is feeding them when we get them from there

I have this same problem with my chameleon, I was going to post pictures later. Glad to see another Arizonian!

It may just be a normal , abmornality.

Yes, my cham's casque is starting to bend as well, and there are no signs of MBD from him, he has a great grip. I'll be following this thread until you can figure out what happened to yours, or until I can post pictures of my own. How close is he to the basking spot?

edit: I'm beginning to wonder if Arizona has something to do with it.. I've heard a few other people in AZ w/chams have this problem with perfectly healthy chameleons.
