Hi, our baby veiled had a shed last week, and has been acting a bit differently since. We are new owners and have an aquarium for him now, but will soon be getting a screened enclosure. He wants to hang upside down from the top of the cage and got a very small burn on his head. It seems to be gone after just one application of antibiotic ointment. He is less active now that we put his branches lower so he can't get up on the screen top of the cage. Another thing is that on two occasions in his sleep, we have found him rising up. He seems to be in a sniffing position with his nose pointing up like he is stretching. He will stay like that for several minutes. His eyes stay closed and he stays nice and light green. Is he maybe dreaming? Thanks so much for any ideas.

Please fill out this form. I would not be keeping him in an aquarium. It is possible that he could have a Respiratory infection and he is putting his head up to breathe better if has mucous.
