before and after gravid

Just thought I'd show some pictures of what a female panther may look like whilst gravid and after egg laying.

This picture was taken the day before she had layed her eggs, she did not show any gravid colours.

This is of the day she layed, I think she was a bit slow on showing her gravid colours and bulging belly.

And this was after she had layed, looking very thin and dehydrated.

Hope this helps anyone. :D

Ps never mind the water bottle in the last picture lol I had been trying to train her to drink from it as she is a very friendly chameleon :p

Thanks! Yeah she looked worse for wear, it was her first time laying. This was from a couple of months back but she was back to normal in no time. I made sure she was well hydrated and getting plenty of well gut loaded and dusted bugs for the next few days after :D

Thank you these pictures have really helped me :) I think my girl is gravid but she is not showing what I thought were gravid colours (like your black & orange pic) she is very like the first picture at the min, she was last mated 18th March so fingers crossed I will have some fertile eggs in a couple of weeks :)

Glad they helped a bit! I think sometimes they can just be slow to show their colours. Make sure to look out for any other signs like constant roaming or down the bottom of the cage. I actually didn't pick that up at first because she was always up at the door trying to get out when I came in the room lol. Best of luck for some eggs then, looking forward to reading about some new babies :D
