Battery run lights?

Is there something I can hook up to my lights that is battery run for the winter? I can't get a generator.

Are you expecting a lot of power outages? You can buy uninterrupted power supplies like they use on computers but they really don't last too long after power outage. Normally 2 hours max time for a pc , depend on the lights you might get 3 hours.

Mom won't let me.

That sux. I spent some time in Logan and I know what the weather gets like, we always had generators, not sure how you can live without one in the winter. I thought it was a mandatory household appliance, unless of course you like the cold and darkness. Thus the reason I'm in Cali.

You could always go with all in one mercury vapor lights and a ups. You'll never get enough heat, UVB and light with a battery powered light. Plus the batteries will end up costing a fortune.

Generators are really the thing that will work efficiently enough to support the heat, light, and basic necessities for your lizard and whole family in case of emergency. Even for days if need be.

We used to camp and take turntables and speakers in the woods. Powered them with a few car batteries and power inverter though. As they say when there is a will there is a way.

i have a 1000 watt power converter that i igot for a 100 bucks in an auto parts store but that is only a temp fix in case of emergency until i can get the generator from my storage spot
