Basking Question

Hello,
I have a 7 month old male panther chameleon. He normally is very happy and active. Lately he doesn't seem as active as normal. His skin while still showing normal colors is starting to look kind of pale to me. I am wondering if I need to upgrade his heat light. It is currently a 25 due to his old cage but I have built him a new 6ft cage and am thinking thats the problem. Does this sound odd to any of you? Please let me know.

Now that I think of it, it has been some time since he last shed. Maybe a month. When they are about his age (7 months) do they shed as much as when they were babies?

Once they are adults, sheds are different. It can take weeks or even more time to get through the process. Or it might not...it's not something that can be locked down and said to be absolute...

If it were me, I'd up the misting.

You said..."It is currently a 25 due to his old cage but I have built him a new 6ft cage and am thinking thats the problem"...if you moved him to a bigger cage, then its quite likely that you will need a higher wattage bulb to keep it warm enough. Have you measured the temperature in the basking area of the new cage? When did you move him to it?

Just this week but he still kinda goes between the two although he prefers to roam the house. We keep the house at a minimum of 73 degress and we also live upstairs so during the day its warmer.
