Banded crickets vs standard pet shop crickets

I just received my Banded crickets from Josh's frogs.
There was not a single dead cricket in the tub!
I'm curious to see how much more hardier they are.
My first observation is that they are physically larger and heavier bodied.
And that their chirping is more pleasant somehow. Less harsh than my "regular" feeder crickets.
So far so good.

You will find them much more agile and active than house crix, and as a result slightly harder to catch.

I personally prefer banned crickets. They are definitely hardier than regular house crickets. I've found their also a lot more cold tolllerant. Helpful in northern states or with montane species.

The bowl/container that I usually dust my feeders in is pretty tall.
The banded crickets can jump clean out of it with a single hop!
They also don't neccesarily stay in the feeder cups....

Yeah i love banded crickets, live much longer and all around seem healthier. It is true though, they are fast jumpers. Gotta be quick to grab them if they get loose.

To be honest...
I just stomp on them. Then pick them up with a paper towel.
I'm too out of shape to chase a damned cricket around the house

I had a 500 box of them get loose in my old apartment.... I think I lost 10 lbs that day
