Bamboo is a pretty common animal food. I've watched pandas eat it for years at the zoo. Humans even eat it.
I understand that reptiles are different, but I find it hard to believe that something which is almost the sole source of food for one animal could be that toxic for another to have in its enclosure...
Thanks for your help. I had the bamboo with my cresties but I'm buying them another vine soon. So I decided that I would check To make sure its safe for a chameleon and put it in with him
Yes... I love chili bamboo shoots myself...As far as being on topic- I have some bamboo growing outside but I thought it would be too slippery for my baby to climb. Maybe I will try a small plant or two in the future.
I cut live bamboo shoots and use them. This is different from the "lucky bamboo" sold in malls that isn't really bamboo at all. Actual bamboo is okay, "lucky bamboo" isn't.
