Can anyone tell me if dried bamboo is okay to use for chameleons to climb on? My husband just made a giant cage for our panther chameleon, T-Rex and he put bamboo sticks all through his plants and cage for him to climb on? He was concerned about the tiny little hairs on the bamboo that make people itch. Even though on the dry bamboo you can't feel or see them, I guess they are probably still there?

Maybe you could sand down or rub off the hairs (I have never heard of tiny hairs on bamboo) if you are concerned.
I actually would, since it might irritate their hands, but it might not matter at all.
