baking branches for chams????

from what ive read and i have heard on here is that yes this it true as long as the branch is dead so there isnt any sap that might escape later on

it honestly is not necessary. Just make sure they come from a pest free area, and have no type of bug infestations that could effect your cage. If you want you could scub with soapy water and let dry in the sun. Baking them is overkill in my opinion. If the branches are coming from your yard or someones yard where you can inquire about pesticide and you know they are safe, I would just stick them in your cage!

^ That is exactly the answer I was looking for. I was thinking since I don't live in the woods and we dont use pesticide on anything and we dont have any major bug problems I was thinking just a soap wash/ sundry would be good.

Thank you search function (and carol, of course)!

Watch out for mites, I bake mine at 350 for 15 minutes just to be safe. I learned this the hard way with my ball python and armadillo lizard when decorating their cages. It's not too much trouble to be safe rather than sorry.
