Bad thermometer?

Ok, so I've been testing out different wattage bulbs and the temps are staying in the 90s even with a 40 watt, is it my thermometer, do I need a new one or just go down to 20?

I've lost my faith in most thermometer hygrometer combos. I find I have to use them with a laser thermometer to have a clue to the actual temp.

I am thinking you got a bad one. I have multiples... lol I do not like the dual probe ones though.

Great? do u have a link to a good one?
I have a herpstat hun. It has an extremely accurate probe for the device. This is what I use to know and keep my basking temps exact.

You can try getting another wired one that is just the temp. Mind you that it is common for them to be a few degrees off one way or another.

I use thermpro devices to know my humidity and ambient levels.
