Baby veileds

I just measured one of mine that was born today. 3 inches including the tail. Fruit flies and pinhead crickets work well for baby veileds.

My babies started hatching on 3/15/09. The first one is shedding and he won't be 4 weeks until Sunday. They grow like weeds, he is twice the size of one born a couple of days ago, and yes my eggs are Still hatching. Congrats on your babies or are they still expected babies??:)

That is crazy! Do they only do it because they are hungry?

There is no relationship between a veiled parent and it's offspring. The hatchling is a little green moving thing .... aka: food.
In their natural environment hatchlings stay down in the tall grasses and low shrubs and don't often encounter adults. If one ventures too high though, or an adult makes it's way down, the baby is fair game and a nice source of calcium and preformed vitamin A:(

Also wanted to know if my female is healthy enough to breed. Don't pay attention to her back that was because the poor old gal took a 2ft fall when she was about four inches. Either that or that's how she was.

I would not breed her since she has a back problem.

I bookmark too many things and then I can't find them when I want them. I need to organize everything in some "program" one of these days! Too bad the poor little thing stopped running away from the big one. It might have escaped.

Would the back problem pass on to her offspring? Would it be hard on her body to produce babies? because to me she is the most beautiful cham and would have wonderful babies if given the chance.
