Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, not sure but I think its a girl, don't know how old bc petco didn't let me know but shes VERY little. ive had her for 4 days
Handling - held her maybe twice
Feeding - feeding mealworms she hasn't eaten any but ive put about 3 in each day
Supplements - no supplements
Watering - she has a bowl of water and a "little dripper" that drips onto plants. I mist about 5 times a day but I just spray the cage down whenever the humidity gets low. ive never seen her drink
Fecal Description - white...thick.
History - I got her from petco and im not sure how long exactly its been since shes eaten which worries me.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - glass, 10 gallon tank
Lighting - Zilla, slimline tropical fixture, the long skinny light 25 uvb t8 florescent bulb. on at 6:30 when I get up and off at bout 9 when I go to sleep
Temperature - I have a humidity and temperature guage in the cage...humidity is about 50% all the time maybe more, temp is about 80- 85 in his basking spot..lowest temp at night is 60 im guessing because that's how low the guage goes.
Plants - I have a live parsley plant and a fake vine and fake plant
Placement - its on a bookshelf, the top is about 4-5 feet off the floor, its in my room away from everyone, it is under the tv but its about 3-4 feet under
Location - the south

I need to know how to get the heat up in the cage and how to get her to eat. im really worried about her.

there a quite a few things here...first of all you do not want to keep your chameleon in a fish tank. There is zero ventilation at the bottom,. Best is a screen cage or a terrarium which has ventilation strips to let out the heat towards the bottom. Most of us use screen. Remove the water bowl. It is a potential drowing hazard and serves no purpose as they rarely drink from standing water. You do not want raise the heat anymore than you have it. There should be cool spots in your cage of about 70 degrees or so and a basking area of about 80 degrees for a baby. Veild's gender can be determined by their back heels on their back feet. Males have a little bump or tarsal spur as it is called. Females do not. Supplements: Dust your feeders at every feeding with calcium with no d3. A calcium with d3 and multivitamin to be used twice monthly. If your guage is going down to 60 then your temp is getting colder than that. Get a digital thermometer and you won't have that problem. Do not feed mealworms only. Get some small crickets and they need to be fed with fresh fruits and vegetables. Is she sleeping during the day?. If so that is not good.

Are all fruits and veggies ok? And thank u so much!!!! I still don't know what to with her not eating though she won't go near the food and I set it by her she just crawls away

the only veggies I know you should not use are spinach, broccoli, regular lettuce and tomatoes. Go with dark leafy greens like mustard greens, collard greens, kale, romaine, apples, carrots, oranges etc. Can you post a pic of our chameleon. Like I said, if your little one is sleeping during the day then something is wrong. They only sleep at night.

A lot of times they are very stressed out and scared from being in a new environment. Make sure she is drinking.

thank ou you've helped a lot I just got her a new cage and some crickets and supplements..does she need a herptivite? because I went ahead and got that too...ive attached pictures to this message

My guy did sleep the first day I brought him home, he had one hell of a day and was sleeping at like 3 or 4pm in a hiding spot. I figured it was becuase his day was hectic, and haven't seen him sleeping like that again, goes to bed at times around 8 pm, the lights go out at 9pm.

He's getting worse and I don't know what to do...still wont eat...and now he's barely moving...his right eye refuses to open...I'm so scared
