I had 5 eggs hatch yesterday and I noticed that on one of them his eyes are not opening. Could this be a birth defect? Will they open on there own? All the others have already eaten their first meal (FF) but this one can't see and walks blind around the tank for a short period of time and then he just goes to sleep under the lamp. Any thoughts???

Its possible its a defect, or hes sickly.

Have you tried to mist him and see if he can open his eyes?

Any chance you van get a pic o fhim>

I got a photo of him. He is my most spunky when he is moving and seems to be healthy. I don't see any discharge from his eyes. and I can see that he has the openings but he doesn't open them. As soon as I figure out how to post a picture I will get it up. Thanks for your quick reply.

try posting the picture to photobucket, its free, and then pasting the url of that page on here and then we can go look at the pic
