Yesterday my baby veiled chameleon, Benji, was good. He ate all his food, I misted his plants as suppose to, and he was the a nice green color. Today this morning I woke up and tried giving him some crickets but he didn't want any. I thought he just wasn't hungry so I tried again later with he same result. His color seemed fine so I thought he just wasn't hungry since he had a late diner, but now he is a light greenish yellow and is just sitting there not moving. What should I do? Any help please? I fear he may be sick and he is my first chameleon.

*UPDATE* His color seems to be getting better he still looks tired

Can you post a picture? Is he sitting with his mouth open while under the basking light? What are your cage temps right where he is sitting? It could be that he's too hot. Babies overheat and get dehydrated much quicker than adults.

If you check this forum's sticky message about "how to ask for help" and answer the questions we can help you much faster.

Thanks for the help, I'm afraid to tell you but he pasted away this morning. I got on the phone with others and they said it may have been dehydration because although I misted his cage regularly, I didn't see him drink often. This has truly hit me hard and I don't think I will be getting another chameleon any time soon. :(
