Hey guys! My names Brennan, I'm new to this forum. This is my baby Cham. She's approximately 3 months old and is very healthy.

I'm not concerned at all about her cage setup. Ever since I got her she's been in the proper screen cage, eating a lot, and loves coming out of the cage to play.

I believe their is some type of shedding or dirt that has gotten stuck in her eye lid. It looks like a little bump and she will try rubbing it against a branch every so often trying to get it out.

Her eye has been like this for 2 months now and I'm not sure what the best solution is right now. How much would taking her to the vet be? I don't have any pet insurance, and it kinda sounds silly to spend hundreds of dollars on a $30 chameleon. I just don't want anything more serious to occur. Please let me know if you could help! Thanks!

Her eye most likely has an infection and will need a vet to flush it and clean it correctly. It will get worse if you don't take her and she could lose the eye or her sight in that eye. The fact that she is 30 dollars shouldn't matter, she is still a living creature and is precious. My veT would most likely me charge me only 200 dollars.

Thanks Andee, I'll try and setup something with a vet. And I never said that she wasn't precious for only being $30. It's more the fact that I'm a college student living on my own, and $200 is $200. Thanks for the help.

My vet was showing us pictures the other day of eye problems, mine looked very similar to yours! She said it was an eye infection and she got a shot in her eye and she will probably end up getting another. DEFINITELY take her to a vet! Good luck!

My baby girl last month had an eye issue . We brought her in to the vet right away . She had eye drops for 7 days and it was 88 dollars . Maybe if you get her in it won't be as much as if she has to go back several times . Francis eye cleared in 3 days . Also I misted extra extra and worm showers . Good luck !!.

My chameleon has the same thing. I haven't been able to take him in yet unfortunately and I'm afraid my insurance won't cover it since I mentioned it while getting insurance. ( don't ever tell the insurance there is a problem already or they won't cover it!)
