Baby Parang's

The little baby panthers sired by Parang are growing up nicely and I finally got some decent pics. This clutch ended up being very heavy on the males, 13.4 with one egg left unhatched. They're all doing great, though! I put them all together in a screen cage for days in the sun and then separate the females into their own tub. Looks like I goofed on one of them, though  Here's the girl's tub:

hey kent congrats they look great :) the one boy in the female cage is feeling like a HUGE pimp right now i'm sure.

Very nice group you have!!!! They look healthy as can be:) The first 2 clutches of panthers that hatched for me where heavy with girls and the second 2 where heavy with males. I wonder if its a diapause thing? How long did yours incubate for?

Cain,
Interesting how these clutches work out. These were laid in early May and started hatching early in January, so about 8 months incubation. They experienced all kinds of temperature extremes, from 90+ when my week-old air conditioner broke, to low 60's at night while I had to keep them at my neighbor's house (had working A/C.) But, the last few months I put them in an incubator at 76-78 constant. All hatched within a few days of each other, which is really handy for me.

Thanks again, everyone, for the nice comments. :)

i remember when that ac broke i didn't til i just read your post and my brain clicked haha see pardalis eggs are made of stone hahaha glad to see all went well :D

It's funny, last night I went to a birthday party for a couple old friends I hadn't seen in a while. One of them (a set of twins) had randomly walked past my house (he didn't know where I lived at the time) right as I'd discovered the broken A/C. So the first thing he asked last night was how the eggs were. Guess I must have been a mess that day

By request, here's a couple more pics of these kids from over the weekend. A whole bunch of the boys are getting greens and maybe some blue coming in. They're growing very well and going through 1000 crickets a week between these 17 babies and 2 from another CH clutch.

Hi Syn, I go out to the cricket ranch myself. They sell boxes of anywhere from 500-2000 crickets of any size for $10 each (pickup only.)

Kent, those little guys are so adorable! That male on the left in the first picture has some pretty nice colors already.
