Current Problem - 45 minutes before the lights go out I caught him "sleeping". Its not a deep sleep, he just had his eyes closed, and when I got closer he opened them. I know its normal for them to go to their sleeping places early, but i wasn't sure about this.... Thanks for any help and advice!

don't see anything that raises a flag. My lil ones are on the same 7-7 schedule and both creep down to sleep mode around 6ish almost daily. But both are pretty active during the day and eat/drink so. /shrug

my panther is about 8 months old and he was going to sleep an hr before lights went out. I realised he was by the window and with the daylight time in michigan drastically changing I just adjusted his timer to come on an hr earlier and off an hr earlier as well. Now he is all good, I wouldnt panic just yet....lol

He eats and drinks fine :)

Yea Im thinking he is still on my school sched, cus i had the lights on at 6am-6pm then.....is switching them bad?

Where is the probe located? You may also want to test that hygrometer. Digital hygrometers are just digital nothing to say they are accurate, and sadly usually not adjustable.

I make sure yo keep a dial in each cage and calibrated. Never know with digital accuracy or when the battery will die.

I think your chameleon is very, very sick. He suffers from wanting to sleep and knowing that night is coming. Lol. bad joke. That guy is pretty and healthy dont worry!

haha! Thanks guys for dealing with my paranoia! :p:roll eyes:

Ill be sure to get a new hygrometer soon, I think tho the humidity is about 40-50% without the water

All of mine curl up their tail 30 minutes or so before lights out. If you change the light timer they will take a few days to adjust. I see this with new ones that come in and have to adjust to my light schedule. They usually go to sleep earlier than the rest for about a week then they get into the same routine.
