i picked up my panther (ambilobe red bar) on wed, so he's still settling in, he's about 3.5 months old. i've seen him at the basking spot with dark colours and elsewhere in the viv with light grey and dark grey bars.
problem is that i have also seen him looking very pale with no bars, just very light grey and he has been sleeping towards the end of the day 5/6pm, (lights on and off at 8am/8pm). i've also only seen him drink anything during his first spray in the morning, for the others he is hiding or asleep. (i have a webcam set up in the top corner so i can spy on part of the viv from out of the room) he didn't eat yesterday and only had 3/4 crickets today. i've literally only gone to the viv when i need to spray or feed. how can i make him feel more settled? i have been cup feeding and he doesnt seem interested in the cup, i had to drop crickets on the leaves in front of him today for him to eat, after he ate he went to sleep for a couple of hours.
temps go to 82-86 at the basking spot and about 72-74 at the bottom (he sleeps near the bottom on a ficus branch or behind a silk plant at the side opposite the basking spot)
there's currently just a ficus in there with one fake silk vine on each side and lots of branches/walkways that he's been using.
how can i encourage him to use the cup? he seemed to avoid going near it so i moved it and now he avoids it again (doesn't even walk near it, but when i moved it he walks on the branches where it was previously)
