baby jackson's cham help!

I have a 3 month old Jackson's chameleon that I have owned for 3 days, and have been seeing some problems. Every time I go to check on him, he is standing at the top of the cage right under the heat lamp. I am using a 50-watt Zoo Med Red bulb that a reptile store recommended it to me. He is drinking a little, and has ate 2/4 crickets I gave him. However, he s more black than brown and I've heard large black spots can be fungal infections or that could be just a myth. Another thing that might be bothering him is that I also own two dogs and a guinea pig that make noise. That might be the problem and if so, I can move him into my closet were it can be quieter. Please respond ASAP! Tanks.

They do change colors when they bask. Both my male and female jacksons get REALLY dark when they are basking. Especially outside. A picture would be great to determine my friend. I am by far a professional but I do have knowledge on the Jacksons.

Chameleons don't hear well so it's most likely not the noise - at three months Jacksons are pretty small are just starting to get their green on I would suggest taking a look at this

chamaleons get dark when they bask or are stressed, just maje sure that te top of the cgae where he climbs isn´t burning hot, he shouldn´t be around dogs that may stress him, if he see people moving around him all the time that stress them too, post oics for betetr understaning

Try turning off your heat lamp or buying an even lower wattage bulb. Jackson's seem to do well in cooler temps. What is the room temp where you keep them.
**and baby Jackson's can be tricky

Sorry for such a long wait. Sadly, Rango died the 10th of February. Fortunately, I have a new little guy (Panther cham) and he is doing much better. Thanks, Drago.
